A Bridgend-based window firm has been awarded funding and support from Bridgend County Borough Council after relocating to the county borough.

Futureglaze Windows Ltd is a family-run business that has operated since 1988, supplying and installing UPVC and aluminium windows and doors. It also installs guttering systems and fascia board, and offers repair services for windows and doors from other companies as well as its own.

For more than 30 years the business operated in the Rhondda from Gelli Industrial Estate. Expansion was no longer feasible as the company grew, and it relocated to Ewenny Industrial Estate in Bridgend.

In January 2026 the company was awarded a Shared Prosperity Fund Business Development Grant to support the move into its new premises, enabling it to equip the office and showroom with IT, furniture and storage for the factory. Eight full-time jobs have been safeguarded and two full-time roles have been created as a result of the funding.

Future plans include increasing turnover by attracting more customers to the new premises and showroom so they can see the full product range firsthand, and growing partnerships with local authorities and organisations, including Care & Repair (particularly the Bridgend branch), local letting agents, care homes and similar sectors. The firm aims to secure a steady stream of contract work and further establish its presence in the region.

Rebecca Dean, Managing Director at Futureglaze Windows, said: “The funding that we’ve had from the council has opened up many opportunities for us and allowed us to expand our reach by moving to Bridgend. It’s been so helpful for us and our new location is easily accessible for our customers across south Wales. We are so thankful for the council’s support in our plans and are very excited to see where Futureglaze goes from here.”

Councillor Colin Davies, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing, said: “I am delighted to hear that Futureglaze Windows has had this funding opportunity and been able to bring their base of operations to Bridgend. This support is another shining example of how the council has helped businesses in the county borough to develop and grow further. If you run a business within Bridgend, I would encourage you to get in touch about our available grants; there is plenty of support available.”

The support is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Further information on current funding and grants is available on the council’s business pages.
