Cardiff-based Final Rentals has expanded its global distribution network through a new integration with Trip.com, one of the world’s leading travel booking platforms.

The partnership gives independent car rental operators across more than 65 countries access to Trip.com’s international audience and booking demand.

Final Rentals’ network of more than 215 locations across five continents is now live on the platform, allowing its franchise partners to reach travellers around the world.

The integration directly connects BLADE, Final Rentals’ proprietary AI-powered booking engine, with Trip.com’s booking platform.

This enables participating locations to provide real-time availability and pricing while receiving reservations directly through the platform.

The technology is designed to give car rental operators of all sizes an opportunity to compete on a level playing field.

It also allows independent and locally owned rental businesses to access international booking demand that could be difficult to reach individually, while retaining control of their own fleets and customer relationships.

Ammar Akhtar, founder and CEO of Final Rentals, said:

“This is exactly what Final Rentals was built for. Trip.com gives our partners access to a huge international travel audience that many independent rental businesses simply couldn’t reach on their own.

“Our model is about giving local operators the technology and distribution they need to compete with the biggest names in car rental. Partnerships like this show what is possible when you combine local expertise with the right technology and global distribution.”

Final Rentals was founded in Cardiff in 2019 and operates a franchise model providing independent car rental companies with booking technology and access to global distribution.

The company has since expanded to more than 65 countries and 215 locations, using its platform to connect local operators with international customers.
