Greggs has opened a new shop in Cardiff, creating 15 jobs in the local area.

The shop offers a wide selection of freshly prepared Greggs favourites, including the retailer’s iconic Sausage Roll, Steak Bake and vegan alternatives such as the Vegan Roll (Pork Free).

Customers can also try the new Steak & Stilton Bake, which is now available at Greggs shops nationwide, alongside a range of iced drinks including the new Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte.

The retailer has expanded its lunchtime menu with the introduction of the Buffalo Chicken Baguette. The freshly baked baguette is filled with buffalo-style chicken mayonnaise, mature Cheddar cheese and red onion.

A selection of meal deals will be available throughout the day, including Greggs’ three-part Big Deal, which includes a drink, side and main from £5.25.

The Cardiff shop will also serve a range of hot food during the evening, including Southern Fried Chicken Goujons, Hot Cinnamon Yum Yums and pizza slices. Options include Buffalo Chicken, BBQ Chicken & Bacon and Veggie Feast.

Customers can order for delivery through Just Eat and Uber Eats or use the Click + Collect service available through the Greggs App.

The app offers customers rewards across different product categories, with every tenth purchase free after buying nine eligible items. New users can also receive a free hot or iced drink when they register, as well as a complimentary sweet treat on their birthday each year.

The new shop features a modern design with indoor and outdoor seating. It will open from 6am until 6pm from Monday to Saturday and from 6.30am until 6pm on Sundays.

Shop Manager Jordan Haslam said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop. We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or Click + Collect.”

Gillian Long, Retail Operations Director for Greggs, said: “Our new shop in Cardiff has brought 15 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”
