Renewable energy firm Rawson Solar has completed its largest solar panel installation to date, delivering a two-megawatt system for Net World Sports in Wrexham.
The project is also believed to be the largest single rooftop solar installation in Wales.
Approximately 4,700 panels were fitted during a three-stage installation, with the completed system capable of generating enough power for more than 600 homes.
The investment is expected to reduce Net World Sports’ energy costs and carbon footprint while supporting the company’s long-term sustainability commitments.
The installation has also been designed to accommodate future battery storage. Hybrid inverters have been placed within temperature-controlled containers, making the system battery ready and enabling it to provide additional power during the night.

Rawson Solar specialises in large-scale solar installations and supplies homes and commercial businesses across the country with renewable energy solutions.
Since beginning trading in 2020, the company is thought to have helped offset millions of tonnes of CO2 emissions. Its installations are also intended to deliver financial savings, carbon reductions and greater energy independence for customers.

Rawson Solar also plans to recruit more apprentices by the end of 2026, expanding its existing 14-strong workforce based in Wales.
